how to make the home page

Does the site have a Site Title that is linked to the homepage?

maybe check Settings/Reading
https://yoursitename.com/wp-admin/options-reading.php

how would i find out if it was linked? site title? you mean upper left hand corner where it reads https://example.com ?

i will check settings but i am new at all this and i learn quickly thanks for your help ill try to figure it out on my own

I just checked the site. There are not one, but two “HOME” links there.

chip the two “home” links are there but when clicked it takes you to a dif page i would like “home” to display the first page you see when you enter the site? am i making sense? sometimes i cant form my questions in a way that others can get it.. please let me know……

wpbless i tried the first option wp-admin/options-reading.php that was not it i will try the other link…..
