How to make the header fixed?

You could use some css like this to restrict the header width https://www.diigo.com/item/image/4cmnz/ps6t

.site-header {
	margin: 0 auto;
	max-width: 980px;
	padding: 0 1em 0 1em;
}

Add this between a media query above 768px so it only affects the desktop view.

Alternatively you could install the Storefront Designer extension which includes a layout option to create a ‘fixed width’ layout. See an example here: https://demo2.woothemes.com/garys/
