How to make the description field accept simple HTML syntax

How is it possible in anycase to make the description field accept a simple HTML syntax like text link or coloured text?

When i save in the backend of wordpress it seems to work than by updating, it disappear. Sometimes after updating, it updates even the wordpress page how it currently displays but after few hours it goes away.
