How to make slideshow remember it's "place" from page to page

Josh, I recommended your plugin to an acquaintance, and now he is looking for help. He has the same slideshow appearing on every page, within his header. The behavior he would like is this: say you have 10 slides in the slideshow, and you’re on the homepage, and the slider gets to slide #6, at which point you click on the “About” page. When the “About” page loads, the slider loads slide #7, then goes to #8. So, from page to page, it remembers the most recent slide number and loads the next one.
