• hello!

I’m using the “Pinboard” theme and it is supposed to be mobile friendly, but there are several issues with the site when viewing on phone. Tried to troubleshoot on my own… no luck.

    Here is my main page:

    https://partyallthetimeusa.com/

Looks ok on computer but on a phone it has major issues.

There are two menus appearing one of which is blocking the text and title. It appears the default menu is the bar across the top. You can see this on a computer (on mobile pops up as that little square with lines indicating there’s a menu behind it)

This is the menu I want to keep. The other menu is a duplicate of the main bar menu and on a phone it is listed smack dab in the middle of the site overlapping text. You have to view on a phone to see that one. The second menu doesn’t appear on the site when viewing on a computer.

Before reinstalling the Pinboard theme (long story) I did create a “Custom Menu” using a widget and added it to the Appearance section. But after Pinboard was reset to default settings, their bar menu popped up and I deleted that widget I had installed… but it still shows up on a phone. (unless I’m confused on which menu is which!?)

It appears the default menu is the bar across the top. You can see this on a computer (on mobile pops up as that little square with lines indicating there’s a menu behind it)

And guidance would be so helpful! Thank you! ??

  • You might try going to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus and deleting one or the other if you see duplicates there, or to at least be certain about what menu is set to primary. Then also double-check at Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets to be certain you are not displaying a widget you do not want showing.

Here is your theme’s support forum where you might find some help:

    Thank you for replying!! ??

Went back through to double check and there are no duplicate menus that I can see. Deleted an old menu just in case even though it was not set as primary and I saw no difference on the site. At this point there is one menu, set as primary, and showing up twice on a iPhone.

Also went into widgets and it appears that there is not a widget installed that I do not want. There are a list of widgets on the left of the screen that say “to activate a widget drag into right side bar…”

The widgets on right side bar that I did intend to activate are only Text Widgets and the Custom Menu Widget is still in the left unused area.

Possible to send you screenshot of what I see via Wordprees forum? Newbie so not sure ??

Will keep scanning through forums as well in case answer is hiding there. ??

When I look at your site in a regular browser, I see a red menu bar that seems to not be needed beneath the large entry photo for weddings, but looking at a Google assessment would seem to indicate you might best look for an affordable Developer or a different theme.

Yes… that red menu is one of the Blog presets… not sure how to delete it yet. Technically my site is a blog, I just use for business.

Site is mobile friendly. It’s the same template we had installed before. But I double checked on your Google link and it is good on mobiles.

I know it’s possible to remove the texts areas with Blog info as we had it before.. just haven’t figured out how yet. Went to WordPress Pinboard forum and most of the posts are over a year old and many had zero replies so I’m thinking contacting Pinboard direct may be a better avenue. ??
