How to Make Sidebars on Homepage Different than Post Pages

  • Hi I am wondering if there is a way to make the two sidebars on my static front page different than the sidebars that show up on my Posts pages?

  • there is some plugins for that, I forget the name you will have to look.

    Widget logic or something like that ?

    There is lots of different plugin ways, like excluding catigories form certain pages ..

    Yep, just duplicate the post lists page, naming it front-page.php and then replace the get_sidebar function with, e.g. a custom sidebar function in your functions.php file. This is the quick and dirty way though you could also register a new sidebar.
