how to make post count in reading settings for posts.

    how to make post count for blogs. if keep it 7 in settings>reading, home page shows even but in page nav it shows odd and some gap appear in one column. if i keep it 8 then homepage appear gap just above pagenav. in demo site everything is even (no gaps). need solution to it
