How to make Portfolio Grid page the homepage

    Hi,
    I made a portfolio grid page and would like that displayed when you visit the site rather than the slider and such you normally get. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice, just not right for my application. Changing the front page to the static grid page in “Reading” doesn’t do anything except redirect the page’s URL back to the default slider homepage.

  • The issue is the template file front-page.php is overriding your static page template file. So the easy fix is just delete the front-page.php file.

    And just fyi the premium version has options for this built in.
