    Hi, Thanks for your plug-in.
I have set up trial pages and successfully emailed the employee notification of the shift, but how does the employee access the detail to record clock-in, clock-out and notes? I have only been able to access the shift detail screen through the admin panel and I don’t want employees to access that.
    Thank you
    Jac

    Hi, Jac!

The employee can access the shift detail through either the [master_schedule] or [your_schedule] shortcode. The schedules include links to view the shift detail, where the employee can leave notes and clock in and out (note: the clock in/out buttons are only visible if the person assigned to the shift is logged in, and the shift is on the current day).

In a future version of the plugin, I will include a link to the shift detail view in the notification email.

    Thanks!
    Morgan.

    Hi Morgan,
    Thanks for the rapid response.

I’m still not clear – where does the employee use the shortcode?
Do I send them a shortlink to the shift page?
And should I have that page visibility as Public, Password Protected, or Private?

Sorry, new at this and still learning.

    Hi Morgan,
Me again….I also meant to say – I think your idea to include a link to the shift detail in the notification email is a great one !

    Hi, Jac!

The employee doesn’t use the shortcode – you do.

Here’s what you need to do:
    * Create a page on your site with visibility of Public
    * The content of that page should be:
    [master_schedule]
You don’t have to put anything else on the page.
    * View the page – it will display the master schedule
    * Send a link to that page to your employees: they will be able to see the master schedule, and from there click on links to view the individual shifts. The page will automatically require that they log in before they can view the schedule.

Let me know if you still have questions!
