• Hello,

    I did try first to get help from our theme’s website (Blogrid theme) but it will not create a ticket without an order number or license key, and we are using the free version. So we have neither.

    The theme’s site does provide a video for this, but I cannot make sense of it. I get lost fairly early in the video. And even watching it through several times, I did not find any hints that got me to an answer.

    Our site is in maintenance mode, since we are still building it, so I can’t show an example page. But we have a blank margin of 1 to 1.5 inches on both sides (on my screen anyway).

    We have very few plugins — the maintenance mode plugin, SVG support, and user online. I don’t think any of those would affect the width, except for the theme itself.

    Thank you very much for your patience with a newbie.

    I’ve been doing additional research while waiting for a reply, and I notice in the description of the Blogrid theme, it says it’s a full page width by default. But it’s not on our site. Since it’s in maintenance mode, and you won’t be able to see it, I made a screenshot for you.

    Notice the menu at the top does not extend to the left edge (or at least close to it) and while it looks like there is room for the Log In link on the same line with all the other links, for some reason it goes to the line below. Also notice the white edge of the blog post does not extend to the edges on either side.

    Here’s a link to the image: https://drive.proton.me/urls/3P87YJHRTM#WWHOZWf8fqIi

    Is there some way to take advantage of this space? Thanks for your help.

    I found this in the Blogrid stylesheet, which I think might be causing the non-100% width, at least for the main menu. But I’m not positive. I really can only understand the most basic html. CSS is a bit of a stretch.

    .center-main-menu{float:left;width:100%;max-width:70%}

    Could I have found the right part of the code? I think it means the menu is only using 70%.
    Yes???

    Is there some code that sets the width for the whole page, rather than parts of it?

    Thanks again for your patience.

    Would you please tell me if there is a better place to post this?

    Thanks
