How to make my wordpress golive?

  • Hi all,

    I have installed my wordpress and xampp. Everything is fine. I could change my theme, create users, links, pages and so on. All these things that I work on “localhost”.
    Now, I’d like to let it golive. I’ve got static ip and domain name. Besides, someone assigns my ip to the domain name.
    My problem is that when I change the web address and site address to the domain name in wordpress, it seems that it works. I can go to my blog by using the domian name. However, I can’t login to admin anymore. It keeps showing me the login page. 100% sure the login name and password are correct. Have I missed something?
    I went through a lot of posts in google and forums, but I have no luck.

    Please help…..

  • if using 3.x.x you will need to search and replace all instances of localhost with domain name
    it is no longer as simple as the 2 in general settings
