How to Make Links look simple

    HI
    I am new to WP and working on a site for our amateur Musical group at https://www.formresult.co.uk. At the moment the main navigation links don’t look simple, they have the typical WP format. I wondered whether there was a way to have simple linking text for the pages such as aboutus.php/shtml/html whatever and to have the main navigation bar in a set order such as Home, About, whatever, contact?
    Sorry for my naivety but I am pretty new to WP.

    Checkout Permalinks? Look under “Settings” when you’re logged in.

    Hi Chris,
    I did log in but not really sure what I should change in order to make the links look like standard links. I see that a lot of WP sites have ‘proper’ looking links.

    Did you click the Permalinks link I gave you earlier? ??

    Did you explore the Permalinks page under Settings?

    I did follow the link and have had a look at the settings within WP. I guess it is just a matter of playing with it now and seeing if I can get the desired result.
