how to make link category names not show up?

I only have a single category of links, and I want to use a hard-coded header for them rather than having the category name automatically show up. How do I keep the link category name from showing up at the top of a list of links? My temporary workaround has been to load the links directly into index.php rather than using the WP link management functionality. But that’s not a very slick solution. FWIW, I’m using a modified version of Gila.
