How to make it work without WooCommerce?

You need to make some modifications to the plugin and change post type from product to post or whatever post type you want to make it work with.

currently the plugin is for woocommerce but we may release an update in the feature which users can choose other post types too.

Should I open all files in Notepad++ and change variables value from “product” to “post”?

No you need to be able to do wordpress development. If you don’t know what’s going on with the codes i suggest you not to make changes and wait for a later release or ask a developer friend to help you.
