I have 2 user roles – role A can only buy a max of 12 units and role B minimum qty is 12, so:

The USER ROLES tab is set as:

    role A – min 1 / max 12 units
    role B – min 12 / max 999 units

But it′s not working. What am I missing?

    Hi,

Here are the steps to set this up, in the plugin’s settings:

General > Amount limits > Minimum and Maximum
General > Amount types > Quantity
General > Require all types > Enable
User roles > Amount by user role > Enable
User roles > Enabled User roles > Role A and Role B and hit save.
    User roles > Role A > Min 1 and Max 12
    User roles > Role B > Min 12 and Max 999

I would also advice to check the settings under

General > Checkout options if you want to block the checkout process.

And the settings under the Messages tab to ensure the relevant messages are displayed in the Cart, Product Page, Checkout page etc.

Please let me know if you continue having trouble with this.

I think I found the problem.

For example – Role A shouldn′t be allowed to buy more than 12. If I add just 1 unit and go to cart page, and I change the qty to 20 hit the update but it will let me checkout. But if I refresh the page than the checkout button get disabled.

    How can I fix that?

    Hi,

Just a question, you add 1 product to cart and go to the cart page, when you update the quantity, you would normally click update cart. This would refresh the page anyway.

If you simply add 1 to cart and go to the cart page, then you update the quantity, but don’t click on update cart, and just click on checkout won’t the quantity on the checkout page still be one?

Can you please re-confirm the quantity on the checkout page?

Also please re-check the settings under General > Checkout options and make sure you block the checkout.

    check this video

I logged in with the test user that shouldn′t buy more than 12 units, and then:
    – I added one to cart and went to checkout page, the checkout button was enabled
    – I changed the qty to 13, hit the update btn, the total changed but the checkout was still enabled, then I refreshed the browser and the checkout btn got disabled
    – then I changed the qty to 1 again, hit update and the checkout was still disabled until I refreshed the browser again
