I use WP links to open all external pages in a new browser tab, but I want internal pages to open in the same browser tab. (I know how to do this)

However, I have many cloaked affiliate links that look like they are internal but which link to external websites. I want them to act like external pages and to open in a new tab. All of these cloaked links have this format:

domain.com/out/address, where “out” is always used to indicate a external link.

How do I implement that logic – namely to have these cloaked links open a new tab when they look like internal links?

I can’t figure it out from the documentation.

    Hi,

That’s easy. In the Exceptions tab, add “/out/” (without the quotes) in the Include external links by URL: field. That will treat all links that contain “/out/” as external ??
