• I uploaded some pictures to my home page as part of a slider. They showed up but they look huge! I’d like them to be smaller but when I resize them, nothing changes. What can I do?

Also, it only takes the mid-cut of the photo, so as a result, half the photos are not aligned properly as the subject is often not right in the middle of the pic but rather towards the top or bottom. How can I change that?

Thanks so much. I have been playing with this for hours to no avail.

  • Is this slider part of your theme? If so, what theme are you using? Where did you download it from?

It is. I am using the free Virtue theme. I cannot remember exactly where I downloaded it from since it was quite a while ago (yes, I have been working on this silly website for months!) but I think it was WordPress.

I know that the free version has many more limitations on it but didn’t want to pay for a theme that might not work. And one should be able to tweak the photos even with the free one, no?

Please try posting in the theme’s dedicated sub-forum:

Thanks. Just did it. I heard Word Press was easy, but I am struggling all the time just to do a simple site. Sigh. ??
