How to make homepage Slider images static or unlinked to posts

Hi,
I’ve implemented twenty fourteen with a child theme and would like to make homepage Slider images static or unlinked to posts. i.e. on clicking the image nothing should happen and the user should remain on home page.

Please suggest what needs to be done – I appreciate your help.
