How to make home page the front page and latest posts as well?

    I’m trying to figure out how to make my home page not only the front page, but also the page where all my most latest posts are being showed.

    When I go to reading settings and select my home page for both, it goes buggy.

    Just in case I am confusing anyone, if you look at other websites. You notice that their landing page is also the home page and page with all their content.

    Instead of choose your home page for both, select the “Your latest posts” option right above that at Settings > Reading.

    I’ve done that, but then when I click on my home page it leads to a blank page instead of the most recent posts.

    Do you have the same problem under the Twenty Sixteen theme?

    If it works just fine under Twenty Sixteen, what is the name of the theme you’re currently using?

    Yep, that is the theme I am using.

    And the front page is completely blank when you select “Your latest posts” at Settings > Reading?

    Are you sure you have any posts and that you aren’t confusing them for pages? They’ll be under two separate sections in the Dashboard.

    I’m slow! I realized how to do it.

    For anyone else who is having this problem. You are going to want to set it to latest posts, add a custom link into the menu. Linking to your website and then type in the text Home.

    Btw the way thank you James. You made me realize what I was doing wrong.

    PS – I can’t believe how many hours it took me to figure that out.
