How to make example.com/wp to example.com

Hello, I’m so sorry if this topic is always asked, but i just need the exact solution to my exact problem.

Here it goes, I hosted my account a while ago,
installed wordpress using softaculous and after successfully installing it
i assumed that my homepage would look like a normal themed wordpress page

But it gave me this page
index of/
———
cgi.bin/
image/
wp/

I managed to see the page after putting typing the address
https://www.example.com/wp

I dug for answers and said I did not have an index.html file.
I created 1 and put nothing in it, put it in the public_html folder

and after refreshing https://www.example.com it is blank, now
I know that the site recognized the index.html file that I created but
what I WANT is when i type https://www.example.com I want it to appear like https://www.example.com/wp,

I am no coding expert, please help me in this problem.
