How to make current user affiliate?

    I have several users that have already registered for subscriber accounts that I would like to be affiliates. I don’t see any options to make current users affiliates – can they only have affiliate accounts if they register through the Affiliates registration form?

    FYI, there is a premium addon, Affiliates Users which allows you to create affiliate accounts automatically whenever a new user registers and also offers an option to import existing users to affiliates.
    A visitor who registers through the Affiliates registration form registers as affiliate on your site and as user who is linked to his affiliate account.
