How to make categories show up?

I just switched to WooCommerce and I am having trouble trying to make my 9 categories show up in the sidebar widget (I want it to show ECM Programming, Specials, Technical Support, Tool Rentals, etc). It only shows the subcategories (GMC Manuals which is part of “Specials”).
