Hi. Apparently Mailpoet’s “automatic new content” field generates hyperlinks to my articles with https instead of http. Unfortunately, my WordPress site has NO SSL certificate (and I’m not intending to pay for one). Consequently, when the subscriber clicks on the link, he gets a security warning.

How can I make automatic links http instead of https?

  • Hey Ifys, sorry for the late response.

Did you manage to solve your issue?

Did you check the addresses of your site in Settings > General: https://d.pr/i/5aAHqi

Yes, I did check the settings of the site. It says https://the_url_of_the_site

But the MailPoet plugin still makes links with https

    Hi lfys,

That definitely isn’t right. MailPoet should be generating the links based on the sites domain in the wp_options table.

Can you run a find and replace on the database from https, to http?

    Thanks!
