how to make an image map work on wordpress

i dont understand what a text widgit is its in a box where you type the coding

I too made an image in fireworks. I’ve have the file url in with the html mapping. Both are copied on a clipboard awaiting their final paste. Ultimately, my plan is to insert a new header complete with clickable links. The problem is, I don’t know where to start. Please help!!
