How to make all posts as if they were posted by an author of my choice?

  • Hello,
    I would like all posts created from the RSS feeds to appear on the blog as if they were created by one of the blog’s author.
    The reason for this is because I am trying to use some other plugins to auto-post all the posts created by RSS Multi Importer to one of my Facebook pages, but they won’t auto-post the posts unless they know which author has published the article, because, apparently, the new Facebook app requirements ask for each author to approve having his posts published to Facebook, and the problem is that currently all the posts created by RSS Multi Importer are posted as if they have no author at all.

    If you want, you can assign each feed to the it’s own author, but only using the beta version of the plugin, which you can get here

    Once the feeds are brought in as blog posts and assigned to an author its up to your theme settings, etc, to group them – the plugin won’t do that (it only brings in the items and makes them into blog posts).

    This is what I got when trying to install the plugin from that link:
    “The package could not be installed. No valid plugins were found.
    Plugin install failed.”
    I am using wp 3.4.1. Do you think it’s because of the version I’m using or because of the plugin file at that link?

    unzip the file you download and you’ll find a file (read that) and another zip file – take that second zip file and upload THAT to your server.
