How to make a site with a header and sidebar that does not move

  • I am trying to make my new website where the header and side bar does not move. I only want the content to move. Is there a free theme that would make this easy on me or can I get some in depth help on how to set one up. (This is my first website that I am creating so all of this is new to me)

    The twentyfifteen theme has a combined sidebar/header that doesn’t really move (unless you make it very long).

    Otherwise, you can get sticky or semi-sticky headers and sidebars by playing with the CSS of your theme.

    I checked out the theme that you suggested but the sidebar still moves from the top. What I attempting is to have a website with a header that is always on the top, and a right sidebar that does not move, if this makes since.

    It’s doable. Either find a theme that works that way or start working the CSS. It’s not hard, but it’s probably a bit tedious.
