How to make a "Blog" page showing latest post

Your best option is to create a page called “Blog” and then use a “post list” type of plugin.

You should not need any plugins to do this. Create a page called “Blog”, and then in your dashboard go to Settings > Reading. For “Posts page” choose the “Blog” page you just created.

There are many use case for that. Depends what content you have in WordPress. If you can, and I think the easiest way would be to create pages and subpages, it doesn’t require any specific setup and is well suited for a general Q&A style page like a FAQ, for example.

The latter is built-in functionality of WordPress, as I have described above.

Other use cases such as a FAQ may require something else as you have described, but howardlie asked about a page showing latest posts – this is built in.

I was talking about a page showing a list of subpages, but that works with posts too. Just need a little work for a custom page using wp_loop (as in wordpress database, pages or posts are the same to call).

Just need a little tweaking.
