• Good afternoon
As it happens, I’ve been using WordPress for a long time, but I’ve never used posts, only pages.
Entries are always very much subject to the fantasies of the theme creator, and pages give at least some freedom.
But in your theme is good more or less everything, and I wanted to make the main page, and records, as it should be published in the blog.
That is, I expected that going into the site settings, I will make the main static page, and accordingly – the page of records – blog
But it turned out that there is no Blog page. This is some kind of, apparently, a phantom. When I make the main blog, it is there, but when I make the main static page, the blog disappears.
Can you please tell me how to form a blog and link it to the menu?
    I don’t understand at all)

    Thanks)

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @kobzew,

It sounds like you want the front page to simply show the blog, same as on the Pulitzer demo site. If so, you should set the “Your homepage displays” option on Settings → Reading to “Your latest posts” (the first option), and you should be all set.

    Thank you)))
I just want the blog not to be on the main page.)
I go where you said, and include on the main page, for example, about myself. And the blog disappears)
I thought maybe it has some kind of address like id- but it doesn’t.
So the question is, is it possible to link the blog to a page in the menu of my choice?

@kobzew Ah, I see. If you go to that page, set “Your homepage displays” to “A static page” and select one page as the “Homepage” and one as “Posts page”, the URL of the page you set as the posts page will be where you can view the blog on the site.

    Thank you))))
It turned out to be very simple)
I’ve almost made the blog output through the page editor though)

But the question is, if there is no actual “page” how does it get indexed for a search engine? your home url will show as non-indexed, and there will be no actual page shown in the crawl that I can se..

My bad. Being new to wordpress, the nonindex was the result of the simply SSL plugin. Turned it off and the suddenly the indexability re-appeared. I am used to an actual home page – rather than a blog being a home page. I know, that is how WordPress started – but still odd.
