How to maintain entered data on submission error

    Hello,
    I sent this through the contact form on the main site and realised it may be better posted here:
    I am testing the plugin for a possible business directory and before a full license is purchased.
    I have a submission form where an image is required.
    On uploading an image which is larger than the maximum set dimensions, the page returns with an appropriate error about the image but the whole form is empty and has to be completed again. This could be an issue when a user types content directly into the form and then loses it on this type of submission. Is it possible to keep the data already submitted on the form when the page reloads on an error.
    On a lesser priorty, I have set it for 1 image to be required but the form still submits when no image is chosen to be uploaded.

    Glad to help:

    1) “Is it possible to keep the data already submitted on the form when the page reloads on an error.”

    This should happen by default, unless there is a conflict with another plugin, etc. Best advice in that case would be to troubleshoot your plugins and theme. I would be glad to provide a guide if it will be useful for you.

    2) “I have set it for 1 image to be required”

    The only setting related to this would be “Minimum number of images”, which you want to make sure is set to 1 or more, in order to require the user to submit at least one image.

    Jeff,

    Sorry for not replying sooner but I have been quite busy since the post and in trying other methods to test a minimum viable product for a user submission solution.

    I will switch off the plugins and see how it goes. The theme is twentysixteen which should be OK, and I had set the minimum number of images to be 1 but will double check everything and reply through the Plugin Planet contact page or reply to the email (as you may have sent one).
