• Where are Tidy theme instructions to make my site look like the example shown on WP? I want the blue bar to appear above the merit boxes instead of at the bottom of the screen. I want to place a static graphic, larger than the blue bar, on top of the blue bar to the right of the white words.
I added the “GMO Showtime” plugin, but that only gave me a slider where the slide showed up within the bar height, not larger. I added one slide and then deactivated the plugin.
    My site is energist.us
    Thank you!

Thanks for your response. Yes, I had tried that, but removing the title of the page also removed it from the menu item list. That makes navigation difficult. If a page isn’t on the menu, the user can’t return there.
That means that the user only sees the front page once, when s/he goes to energist.us the first time … or if s/he knows to retype that URL to get there. I would like both — to have a menu item for the front page listed on the Menu Bar and for that menu item’s name not to appear below the Merit Boxes on the static front page.
Again, I know that’s different from the WP example you show. I may be asking for something that’s not possible.
    Thank you again.

If this is the case, there is one solution though. Ultimately, removing a page name is the only solution in this theme, however if you set “Hello!” page as a static front page, site visitor can always return to the front page by clicking a “Home” button.

Check if your configuration is same as below or if not, perform the following procedures.

    1. Go to Appearance>Customize>Static Front Page. Click on “A Static Page” radio button, then select “Hello!” from the pull-down menu and press “Save and Publish”.

    2. You will probably notice the menu “Hello!” is no longer on the menu bar.

    3. Then go to “Pages” in dashboard, press edit button, delete page name then update.

    4. Go back to to check your home page menu bar to see if you have a “Home” button.

If this works for you, all you have to do is press “Home” from anywhere to return to the front page where has the post you want to show.

Well, pooh. I tested that page more and the solution isn’t working. I got a “404” error.
I can see that this theme, though beautiful and just exactly what I want, is too difficult for me to use. I need more customization than it provides. (I didn’t think I did when I started out.)
I still have 3 or 4 other questions but now am out of runway on my deadline. I’ll have to go back to a theme I don’t want and just accept my limitations.
Thank you anyway for all the time you’ve spent with me on this.

Sorry it didn’t work out. If you ever decide to use this theme again, feel free to contact us anytime. You could also ask questions on www.remarpro.com support forums if you have general WordPress questions. Peeps there are usually very helpful.

    Thank you.
Please fix this back so my “Hello!” page is recognized and is the static front page. Right now, it defaults to energist.us/main and gives a 404 error. “Hello!” nicely shows up on the menu bar, but only goes to 404.

Hi! First of all i want to thank you for providing such a wonderful theme. My question is regarding post feature image. What is the ideal size so it fits withing the – Your Latest Posts Area Pic Square nicely.

    Thank You!
