How to lock site to left side of screen

I am trying to get a site I am designing to be locked to the left side of the screen. I am working on a wide-screen monitor and when it displays full screen there is a large left margin. When I shrink the window it moves the text towards the left as the window gets smaller. I would like to have it always close to the left edge regardless of window size or monitor type. I am basing the block off of the Modicus theme. Currently I cannot provide a link as I do not want to have people viewing the site until it is decently ready to view. I can reply with any sections of code you would like to see.
