• Hello! I’m looking for some help with changing how visitors enter my website. Here’s the link so you can see what I’ve done so far:

I’ve designed a page I want to use as my static front page https://ladyajpministries.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=73&action=edit
and add a Maxbutton ‘Enter Site’ widget that will direct visitors to
    https://ladyajpministries.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=775&action=edit

    My Maxbutton is created
    [maxbutton id=”1″]
    [maxbutton name=”Enter Site”]
and the ‘Per Page Area’ widget
    [weaver_widget_area]
I’ve added the widget 2 ways, but it’s not appearing as designed: First I added the ‘Weaver II Per Page Text’ widget
under the Customize’Pages Top Widget Area’ tab; and then I tried adding the ‘Text’ widget and adding [maxbutton id=”1″] to it. Both ways I end up with the words ‘Enter Site’ underlined and in the center of the top of my page (it looks NOTHING like the button that I designed) and when I click on it, it doesn’t take me anywhere.

I’ve also tried adding shortlinks in the box for ‘Per Page body Class – CSS class name to add to HTML <body> block. Allows Per Page custom styling.‘ in Edit Page screen under ‘Per Page Options’ and adding ‘entersite’ in the box for ‘Additional Top Widget Area – Enter name of a Per Page Widget Top Area to display.’, but I getting this error message: “Note: Per Page widget area: per-page-entersite not found. You’ve likely mistyped the name, haven’t defined the area yet, or haven’t added a widget.”

Someone PLEASE help me! I don’t know anything about coding and I’ve run out of trial and error combinations to try. Any assistance is GREATLY appreciated!

    My apologies…
I just tested the links and it’s going to the login screen (I was logged in as Admin when I copied the links). Here are the correct links to the above-referenced pages:

Front Page (Desired as Static Page)

    Maxbutton Redirect Landing Page

    Thank You!!

May apologies… This should be correct now.

Front Page (Desired as Static Page) is…

    MaxButton Redirect Landing Page is…

    Thank You!!

I am not following what you are trying to do.
Rather than explaining what you tried, explain prcisely what you want.

I am guessing your maxbutton is a plugin that allows you to design a link button and insert it with a shortcode.

If so simply explain where in your page you wish to see that button, and if it should only be on that page.

In the future, you may want to post in the weaver forum below, as this is the main place of support.

Thank you, Scrambler! I’ve bookmarked the forum for future reference.

I want my Maxbutton styled ‘Enter Site’ button to show only on the page that is named ‘Lady AJP Ministries’. I want to make this my home page, and when visitors click the Enter Site button, they are redirected to ‘About Lady AJP’.

    Thanks for your assistance!

You don’t really say where you want to insert it, or if there are other pages in the installation that is in https://ladyajpministries.com/lady-ajp/

If there is only one page in that install, you can use Advanced options > HTML Insertion areas > Site HEader Insert Code box. Just put your maxbutton shortcode in there.

If there are other pages in that install, you can use the Page custom Field version of that insertion area. You go to your page editing page, in the Custom Field area you Create a New Custom Field , put header in the name box, and put your shortcode in the value box. Then save and update the page.

If you are not familiar with Custom Field, you can read:

If you want to explore other insertion area, you can look at this layout sample:

    Wow! Thanks, Scrambler.

I have one page in that install and was trying to use the ‘Additional Top Widget Area’ under ‘Selective Display of Widget Areas’ to place my button at the top center of the site. I’m a novice with code – WP Drag & Drop Queen – :), but I’ve used several available tools along with Weaver II to figure out how to customize my site… So thank you for the information. I’m going to do some reading and see if I can understand enough to make it work.

Thanks again! I really do appreciate your assistance.

depending on your shortcode you may need some custom CSS to center it.
Once it is in place if you cant center it, post back with a link so we can make sure of the proper way to get it centered

Thank you, Scrambler!! It’s now showing and linked the way I want it. Your suggestion helped me figure out what I was doing wrong. I was making an easy thing hard. ??
