How to List complete Posts in Category/Archive

  • Hi All,

    How can i modify my template so that when viewers navigate thru to the Category or Archive page, it displays a complete “listing of all posts” (by subject/title).

    I find it quite annoying when viewers have to navigate thru using “Previous” and “Next” just to find a particular post.

    Any help much appreciated ??

    Btw.. im not using the widget plugin, so any help to modify the code or plugin would be really nice. many thanks.

    I am not sure what the question is. Could you define “complete”? Are you saying you want full posts and not excerpts – or something else?
    Do you mean to show ALL your posts on a category view? – That’s a typical beginner mistake when you have 5 posts… it seems a nice idea. However, if you’ll have 1500 posts, all your visitors will hate you if you put that many posts on a page, which would download in an hour. So, think again!

    That’s a very good one to use for the archives. Makes them very clean and you can list a ton at one time.

    As far as categories goes:

    I would possible change your reading option to infinite posts and then edit The Loop in your index.php file to limit the amount of posts per page. Check the codex.

    Even simpler: look for the CQS plugin.
