How to link image in sidebar to external website

    Hi there,

    I want to
    – upload an image to the media library
    – put that image in my sidebar
    – link it to an external website.

    Now, I’ve found how to link uploaded images in posts and pages to external websites (here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/links/image-links/), but this method does not work if you want to add an image in the sidebar and link it to an external site.
    Is this even possible?
