How to link Gallery Thumbnails to external link

  • Someone must have come across a solution to this.
    As of now, there is no way to link individual gallery images to an external link. Even if you change it, it defaults back to the image link. If you change it to an attachment page – still no luck. I have tried referencing with html in the title, caption description, link fields…but no luck.
    Any help is greatly greatly appreciated. Been looking for this solution for years!

  • I am trying to do the same thing!! Why is this not a basic feature of the gallery system? I really like the default gallery setup and don’t want to install a plugin JUST for this, especially as it seems none of the plugins do this anyway…

    Hi, can you share the link to your site? gallerys are usually theme specific… and it will help a link so we can test the code before sharing any ideeas …
