how to link a menu item to the "blog"?

    I’m new at WP, well versed in Joomla.

    I want to create a menu item (or an image hyperlink) that when clicked, will display the blog entries (the loop?) in the main area/window of my theme.

    Does anyone know how I can achieve this?

    how does this help me in creating the menu item link which displays the blog entries??

    Because as part of the process, you also create a blog page.

    pardon my ignorance but I still don’t get it.

    I don’t currently have a menu item to point to my blog.

    How? can you be a bit more specific please?

    what if I wanted to have an “read blog” image in a text widget that I want to have hyperlink to the blog?

    Create a text widget and use standard HTML code for an image link to point to the blog page.

    The blog page does have its own URL.
