You can only paginate using the query parameter, not the category parameter.

    For example:

    [archivist query="category_name=nature&posts_per_page=10&paged=3"]

    whats that “paged=3?”

thank you for you great information..!! very useful. tell me about that “paged=3”, what is it?

The number of the page you want to display. “paged=3” shows page number 3, “paged=15” shows page number 15 etc.

Hi Eric, sorry to jump in but I need to fix this asap for a client.

What’s the point in having a pagination in this way? I mean, I’m expecting, from that shortcode, to have a real pagination, an ‘ajax kind of effect’ that shows next prev buttons right?
Is this possible at all? Otherwise the plugin itself will be useful only to show a fixed amount of posts and not a growing list.

    Thanks

What’s the point in having a pagination in this way?

I’d call it an “accidental feature” since I simply allow all native WordPress query parameters. There is no explicit support for pagination.

Yep, fair enough I think.. Are you open to add this functionality?

I don’t have time available to work on the plugin in the foreseeable future, sorry.

Are you open to give me a quote for this functionality? Is this something that can interest you? Right email to write about this?
    Thanks
