How to limit number of user frontend uploads per album

Have a look on table IX-D6

Table VII-B5.x sets the upload limit for frontend uploads. You can have different limits for different userroles. These limits work on existing users immediately when set, and apply to the number of uploads done by the user regardless of the album.

The setting in Table IX-D6 is the limit for the album and will be set to the album information at album creation time. You can change this limit for existing albums on the Album Admin -> Edit album information admin screen.

No that is on a user basis.
Use Table IX-D6.

So this means there is no way to limit the number of pictures a user can upload per album.

Correct me if I am wrong…I can only limit the number of pictures a user can upload overall, or I can limit the number of images that can be uploaded to an album from all users collectively.

That is correct.

I inspected the code, and it seems not to be too complex to add a switch so that the settings in VII-B5.x (the user limits) can be appied to each album independantly.
If you really want this, pls let me know and i will implement it in the next version.

That would be a very helpful feature to prevent users from uploading an excessive number of images to an album. I will be happy to give a donation for this feature! Thank you very much!
