How to limit number of recurring event instances on the list

    While looking for a solution to Skipping current events but only from day 2 (which turned out to be more complicated than I initially thought) I tried recurring events.

    This was very promising but there is one no-go for me. The event in question spans for one week, an hour each evening. When I created a corresponding cyclic event it “spammed” my event list with 7 recurrences of this event.

    While what I really wanted was to keep this event on the list for 7 days.

    What options do I have besides modifying the event each evening?

    in your Events > Recurring Events > add or edit a Recurring Event template > under ‘Recurrences’ metabox > you can choose ‘Daily’ under ‘This events repeats’ and then under ‘Each event spans X days’ e.g. X is 7 (for 7 days)
