    Is there a way (a plugin?) to keep sticky posts on top of the recent posts list?
    Alternatively, is there a way of making an automatically updated separate list of sticky posts? I have pages and posts, and I am trying to keep reference to sticky posts visible on homepage.

    No plugin required. When you post, over on the right is the publish button, right?

    Just above that is says Visibility: Public (Edit). Click edit and a little drop down appears where you can choose Stick this post to the front page. Done, easy as pie!

    @sharon-jackson,

    Hi, you misunderstood my question. I am not asking how to keep sticky posts on top of posts page, but how to keep it on top of the “recent posts list”, which is in a sidebar. My homepage is not a post- it is a [fixed] page, and therefore posts are not visible on it.

    I would search for an enhanced post list widget plugin that supports sticky posts. I haven’t used any before so it’s tough for me to recommend one, I would just try a few out and see if you can find one that works for you.

    When it says “stick post to the front page,” it means stick post to the front page of the blog page. I have no idea how to add it to the recent posts list. Sorry. Hopefully, csloisel’s idea might be helpful

    @sharon-jackson and @csloisel,
    Thanks for replies. I did search for plugins before posting here, but there are dozen plugins related to recent posts list, so I was hoping someone could suggest the one that does what I need.
