How to keep menu even in categories

I’m, unfortunately, not quite with you. Any chance you could explain the problem a little further. When you say navigation menus could you let me know what you’re referring to?

Eep. I’m referring to the primary menu that can be sticky.

When I select a category, the links on the menu disappear completely, so the user has to select the main site title (or logo) to head back to the homepage to see the menu.

However, when I select a page or post from the menu, the links are just fine and do not go away.

Thanks for explaining. I’m not able to replicate. If your site is live, please, send a link so I can take a look. If you’d like to keep your site private you could use a link shortener like Bitly and change the link in Bitly once we’re done.

Thanks, I see the problem. I’m not sure why this would happen. The menu code/markup isn’t printing at all.

1. Have you at any point made modifications to theme files at a code level?

2. We could test for a plugin conflict. That would involve temporarily de-activating all plugins at once and re-testing the menu.

Ah! Found it. A plugin that allows categories to apply to pages in addition to posts was interfering. I’ll see if I can find another that doesn’t cause a trouble, or I’ll try a work around.
