How to keep a widget stay on ‘available widget menu’

  • I am building a site with dynamic sidebars, i will have different sidebars to appear for different pages on my site.

    I would like to use the same widget more than once, on different sidebars created, but the widget disappears off the widget menu when it is used in one sidebar…

    Is there a way to code the widget, so that it doesn’t disappear, and stays on the menu, so I can re-use it?

    Yes. Use the new widget API. Much better than the old one.

    There are also plugins that will enable the reuse of widgets.
