How to jump to a subpage in a long post.

  • I’ve created a long post with multiple page breaks (using <!––nextpage––> tag). I’ve manually created a table of contents at the top of the post, is there a way to create a text link to a specific subpage (e.g. page 5) in the post?

    This is a bit embarrasing, earlier I tried simply linking to the subpage using it’s url (grabbed from browser), it didn’t seem to work. Just tried again and now it’s fine. It was a cut and past issue, I ended up with “https://https://www&#8230;..” in the “Insert/edit link” box.

    D’oh – note to self “be more careful”!

    However if there is a more elegant way of doing this I’d be interested.
