How to integrate WordPress and Magento?

I’m an individual trying to start a community (blog and forum) and ecommerce site focused on healthy living.

I’d like to use all open source platforms. I’m interested in using WordPress for the community elements and Magento for ecommerce.

Can this be done? Easily? I’m hoping for users to be able to have a single account and log in for all parts of the site.
