• Hello everyone,

Have a problem here and would like to ask for help.

I been thinking about this seen last week and still haven’t figure out what to do with this.

I want to install WordPress in sub-directory (public_html/name), but I do have a HTML page(index.html) in my root directory and also I want to use it as my homepage.

But I want to create page with WordPress in the sub-directory with the permarlink (damain.com/pagename), or it will be (domain.com/name/pagename)? And still remain using the HTML page as my homepage, I haven’t install the wordpress in the sub-directory yet, want to have more information about that before I install..

    Thank you very much.

  • Hi @justintan6968

Before I answer your questions I would like to know the purpose for you to do so. What is your end goal? What are you trying to achieve by creating a sub folder?

The reason I ask these questions is to make sure we are on the same page or may be we could suggest a better alternative?

    Thanks.
