How To Install WordPress Features Onto Template

  • I just recently converted my own template to wordpress and I would like to know, how can I insert BlogRoll, RSS Feed, and Archives into my template?

    You do that the same way its done inside the 2 themes that are included within the WordPress zip — by calling the fucntions inside your theme files.

    Oh, okay so what your saying is all I have to do is copy and paste the codes from the classic or default themes into my template?

    Basically, yes. You might want to “wordpress cheat sheets” as there are some good cheatsheets out there with all of the common function calls.

    As whooami stated, take a look at other themes so you can get the basics and then just jump off from there.
