How do I install Wordfence on my WP site https://www.JosefKlus.com when my IP (iPower) has suspended my site due to malware hack on my files (but requires it to reopen my account), and I cannot access it by WordPress and its Plugin Menus as instructed? How to install by FTP, or otherwise, and where to? I’m a neophyte, so please give me numbered step by step directions, and don’t assume I know anything you’re talking about (no abbreviations please). Thanks.

  • Hi @josefklus,

I would recommend cleaning your site of malware first.

If you have access to your site with FTP, you can:

    1. Backup your site
    2. Delete everything off of your site
    3. Ask your host to reopen your account

If you don’t have access to your site at all, you’ll need to ask your host what your next steps are. They suspended your site, so you need to regain access to your site first.
