If you’re not able to use the latest 3.x version of the Disqus plugin for reasons like legacy versions of PHP, theme or other plugin conflicts, etc. you can still use the latest release of the previous version, 2.86.

    1. Uninstall the current Disqus plugin from your WordPress installation
    2. Download the 2.86 .zip file here: https://github.com/disqus/disqus-wordpress/releases/tag/2.86
    3. In your WordPress dashboard, go to Plugins -> Add New -> Upload Plugin
    4. Upload the disqus.zip file you downloaded in step #2
    5. Activate and log in to install

  • Is that really recommended, @ryanv12? I’m looking forward to using version 3.x, but it’s been more than 2 weeks since I’ve opened a ticket here and no progress seems to have been made. ??

    Thanks.

Still waiting on a fix for 3.x for HTTPS sites. I’m reluctant on reinstalling 2.86…
