How to install the child theme

  • Apologies for the question. Have found the zip folder for the child theme but for the life of me cant figure out how to install it in order to activate it. I have searched everywhere, but I only find the words “install it.” Do I need to move it somewhere? Thank you in advance, for any guidance

    Sorry for late reply… but to install the child theme, this is done just like any theme. So you will go to your themes in your admin, click Add New and upload the child theme, then activate it. It’s important to make sure you have Preference Lite installed first, but it does not have to be active. When installing a child theme, WordPRess first checks to make sure the parent theme is installed.

    As a side note…I should mention that Preference Lite is being discontinued once my new theme replacement called “Preferential lite” is approved by the review team. If you want to read more about the new one, you can get MORE DETAILS here.
