• Hello,

I already have a working WordPress blog in my root folder. I would like to create a photoblog via Pictorialis. A link would exist in my regular blog to lead my readers to the photoblog.

I already downloaded the .zip file for Pictorialis, and looked at ReadMe. The process looks similar to setting up WordPress.

The question is…Do I need to set up a different database in MySQL for Pictorialis? Also, do I need to set up a different directory? Anything else I need to know? I’d appreciate clarification so I don’t mess up my existing blog. There doesn’t seem to be much info on the Pictorialis website.

    Thanks so much.

  • I would put Pictorialis in a different folder on your site. If you can have another database, then I would do that too. Just seems easier to me.

There have always been a couple bugs on new installs, so you may need to peruse the Pictorialis forums to find those fixes.

I’ve been running mine smoothly for a while now, so I’ll be happy to help if you can’t figure anything out.

    Oriecat-
Thanks for the feedback. I got it loaded successfully and started playing around with it a little bit.

I like your general setup. How do I go about doing that?
(1 large current photo + a few previous thumbnails below it)?

I created a modified version of the Pictorialis I homepage to use with my Pictorialis II. I would be happy to send you a template, if you want to contact me off the board.
